Meeting Abstracts of the Physical Society of Japan, Volume:71, First page:1622, Last page:1622, 2016擬一次元強相関電子系有機導体{\delta}'_C_(BPDT-TTF)_2_X(X=ICl_2_, AuCl_2_, CuCl_2_)は室温近傍で既に電荷秩序を形成している。本研究では静水圧印加によって分子軌道の重なりを増大させることにより、強い電子相関による絶縁体状態から金属状態への相転移を観測した.講演ではスピンパイエルス転移に対する圧力効果や,系の次元性クロスオーバーに関しても議論する.

Meeting Abstracts of the Physical Society of Japan, Volume:71, First page:1603, Last page:1603, 2016κ型の相図においてMott転移近傍に位置する反強磁性体κ-(d8-BEDT-TTF)2[N(CN)2]Brの磁化を低温領域で測定した。その結果、ヒステリシスを伴う超伝導転移が観測された。これは、反強磁性相から相分離した超伝導相への転移であると考えられる。当日は、この現象の磁場依存性や冷却速度依存性についても議論する。

Meeting Abstracts of the Physical Society of Japan, Volume:71, First page:1567, Last page:1567, 2016近年、スピン液体物質!LaTeX${\kappa}$-(ET)_2_Cu_2_(CN)_3_における電子状態が議論されているが、正確な描像はいまだ確立されていない。一方、同じ物質群!LaTeX${\kappa}$-(ET)_2_Xに属する!LaTeX${\kappa}$-(ET)_2_ Cu[N(CN)_2_]Clはフラストレーションの違いから、絶縁相基底状態は反強磁性秩序を示している。本発表では両物質に対して、同一サンプルに対する面内および面間電気抵抗測定を行った結果を報告し、フラストレーションの違いの面間伝導に与える影響について議論する。

Meeting Abstracts of the Physical Society of Japan, Volume:71, First page:1676, Last page:1676, 2016擬二次元系三角格子有機伝導体!LaTeX$\kappa$-(ET)_4_Hg_2.89_Br_8_はモット絶縁体に11%ホールドープした系とみなせる。この物質は圧力下で超伝導を示すが、その転移温度は圧力に対して0.5GPa付近で最大となるドーム構造を持つことが特徴である。また、0.5GPaよりも低圧側では高圧側に比べて超伝導の上部臨界磁場が非常に大きいことがわかっている。本講演では圧力下でこの物質の電子相関を制御して行ったネルンスト効果の測定から、超伝導ゆらぎをはじめとした超伝導の諸性質を議論する。

Meeting Abstracts of the Physical Society of Japan, Volume:71, First page:1583, Last page:1583, 2016我々は、β'-(BEDT-TTF)2ICl2における電荷の低速ダイナミクスを明らかにするため、1/f特性を示す抵抗ノイズの測定を行ってきた。前回までに抵抗ノイズ強度の温度依存性、電流依存性等を測定し、110-140Kの範囲にBEDT-TTF分子端のエチレン基に由来すると考えられるローレンツ型の周波数スペクトルが現れることなどを報告した。今回はこのローレンツ型スペクトルの強度や電流依存等の詳細について報告し電子の低速ダイナミクスを議論する。

Based on science and technology of advanced materials, the quantum mechanical nature of photons can be utilized for expanding the available spectral window and strengthening the security of our social systems. Towards such frontier photonics, we started to study some basic elements from physical and technological aspects. We succeeded in growing β'-(BEDT-TTF)2ICl2 single crystals, detecting THz signal by our superconducting tunneling junction device. An in-situ ellipsometry enabled us to monitor thermal oxidation process of SiC surface, and a spectroscopic detection of non-radiative centers in a InAs/GaAs quantum dot structure became possible. The combination of quantum-mechanical design, nano-scale fabrication and detailed characterization is considered to be essential for proceeding the research frontier of brilliant photonics world.

We demonstrated that an organic charge-transfer complex, β'-(BEDT-TTF)_2ICl_2, which is a semiconductor with high resistivity, is metallized by application of extremely high pressure by means of a cubic anvil press. This metallization was accompanied with appearance of the highest-T_c superconductivity (T_c=14.2K at 8.2GPa) among the organic systems. We anticipate that many novel electronic phases including superconductivity will be uncovered in this extremely high pressure-range.

We developed a high-pressure cell based on NiCrAl alloy for muon spin relaxation and rotation (μSR) measurements under high pressures up to 1.5 GPa at J-PARC. First, we measured μSR on NiCrAl alloy and confirmed that the μSR spectra exhibited simple relaxation behavior and do not have temperature dependence below 150 K, which indicate that NiCrAl alloy is suitable for the lowtemperature and high-pressure μSR measurements as a material of the cylinder. Next, after inserting samples of organic antiferromagnet, β'-(BEDT-TTF)_2ICl_2 amounts to 1 g into the pressure cell, we performed μSR experiments and succeeded in detecting the μSR signal from the samples, which prove the availability of the newly developed pressure cell.
We also measured μSR on β'-(BEDSe-TTF)_2ICl and β'-(BEDSe-TTF)_2IBr_2, which are isostructural with β'-(BEDT-TTF)_2ICl_2, to get information on magnetic properties of β'-(BEDTTTF) _2ICl_2. Contrary to expectation, these materials did not exhibit muon spin rotation at low temperatures. We proposed that the muon sites of these materials are quite different from that of β'- (BEDT-TTF)_2ICl_2.

We determined the spin structure of k-ET2Cu[N(CN)2]Cl at a zero magnetic field by means of detailed magnetization measurements. This achievement was not expected in our proposal. Furthermore, we determined the zero-field spin structure of k-(d8-ET)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br, which has been regarded as qualitatively the same magnet as k-ET2Cu[N(CN)2]Cl, and, surprisingly, found that these two materials have different zero-field spin structures. On the basis of these new findings, we performed zero-field mSR studies on six kinds of antiferromagnets that situated in the antiferromagnetic phase of k-ET system. We detected the discontinuous change of the ratio of internal fields at around k-(d8-ET)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br salt, which means the confirmation of the change of the zero-field spin structure from the microscopic viewpoint. We also obtained the finding that two muon sites are at the molecular layers and the other one site is at the anion layers.

In this research, we investigated the characteristic non-linear electronic properties appearing in the strongly correlated electrons coupled with soft molecular lattice system in organic conductors possessing characteristic charge-spin-lattice multiple-degrees of freedom. We found that the novel charge-glass state existed around the charge-order insulating transition (electrons solid-liquid transition) in a molecular conductor. This charge glass state is the third electronic state, in addition to the electrons solid (insulator) and electrons liquid (metal), which indicates heterogeneously quenched solidification of electrons with quite slow time-scale of the electronic dynamics.

We aimed the emergence of novel organic conductors and we tried to develop the method of high-pressure electrochemical synthesis. We succeded in synthesizing single crystals under pressures but obtained crystal were known phases. Therefore we did not obtain any evidence that the high pressure affected the crystal growth. However, we expected that this method could be applied to the system that had high solubility and novel crystal phase would appear.

In this research, we aimed to apply inelastic neutron scattering (INS) measurement to studies on dynamics in the organic conductors using a chopper spectrometer installed at J-PARC.
We succeeded observation of a full picture of the phonon spectrum in an organic conductor, beta'-(BEDT-TTF)2ICl2, by INS for the first time. It was found there that a low-energy optical mode is strongly coupled with the charge and spin degrees of freedom. We also tried direct observation of magnetic excitation in this material. However, we have not yet succeeded its observation because the magnetic intensity rapidly decreases due to the spin widely distributed on a molecule.

We aimed to develop the novel method that enable us to measure angle-resolved thermoelectric power quasi-continuously, motivated by the importance of electronic anisotropy in highly correlated electron system. At the beginning we applied this method to organic conductors. Moreover we tried to construct novel method of determining Fermi surface anisotropy, studying anomalous transport properties of metallic state near insulating phase and determining symmetry of superconductivity. Indeed we succeeded in observing angle-dependent thermoelectric power of organic materials, which reflect anisotropy of Fermi surface.

High-pressure muon spin rotation and relaxation experiments were carried out for antiferromagnetic organic insulator β'-(BEDT-TTF)_2ICl_2, which shows superconducting transition under high pressure, and found the muon precession signal under high pressure for organic conductor for the first time. Temperature and pressure dependence of precession frequency and precession amplitude suggest the existence of pressure-induced phase transition around 0.7GPa. We also carried out zero-field muon spin relaxation experiment for organic superconductor κ-(BEDT-TTF)_4Hg_<2.89>Br_8 and found that internal field is constant around the superconducting transition temperature.
